Allen and Jessica found out baby #3 is a GIRL! Allen (Popi), Lindsey Johnson and I were present to experience the excitement with Allen, Jes, Jonah and Eve. Jonah was very matter of fact with his prediction. It seems surreal at only 15 weeks.

Ethan and Katherine are Engaged!
January 20, 2012 |
Ethan had arranged to have dinner with Kevin and Christy. Because he and Katherine were early, they would stop at the lodge to say hello to Allen and me. We were at HHCC for a camp Board meeting. The darkness made the candles seem even brighter as they beckoned them into the dark wooded area and as Ethan said, "Let's take a walk", she knew this night would change her life forever.
Ethan and Katherine both grew up attending Horton Haven and even attended the same camps at times. As college students they both served on Core Staff and friendship blossomed into love. It seemed perfect to propose at this special place where they had met and then served the Lord together.
Every once in a while, in the middle of an ordinary life,
love gives you a fairytale.

Mister Beans!
How do you get to "Mister Beans" from Caleb?
This little guy is a party waiting to happen.
Don't say anything you don't want repeated in exactly the same tone and
inflection with a Southern accent.
"I'm suh-wimmin'!"
Big truck or bull-dozer won't do. No, it's an escavator.

I Caught Myself! Yeah!
I almost posted this link on Facebook! Gasp! I have determined to not use Facebook as my
soapbox. (mostly because I am sooo opinionated and have realized not everyone
wants to know my opinion about everything.)
I love this girl because she is so real. I thought this post was encouraging, but I have to admit, I wanted to raise both good and godly children. Don't we all?

Little Miss Eve Amelie
All things girly is our little Miss Eve. She's a good girl and mostly drama free. :)
Here are her precious little feet in her very first ballet slippers.
Eve loves to play with her big brother. She adores him and lights up when he comes near. He is a sweet and gentle playmate and loves her just as much.
Miss Eve is everything a baby girl should be. Sweet, sassy and a little flirty with her daddy. She is a joy.
