Spending the Night With The Boys

Last night, I was able to spend the night with Molly and the twins. It was the first night Kyle had to go back to work. Jack and Caleb did wonderfully for only being 2 1/2 weeks old. Jack seems to be the most sound sleeper, with Caleb being a little vocal with lots of little baby sounds. I remember pushing the bassinet out into the hall with my some of my babies. It is so tempting to keep trying to quiet them when they all they need is just to make noise. It was never very conducive to sleeping. My goal was to let Molly get as much rest as possible, so I kept the little grunter out in the living room with me. About 6:00 am after their 5:30 feeding. Pretty content with full bellies

and clean hinies (not an easy thing to accomplish).

This is my Mommy and Daddy. It makes me happy when they are having fun.

They love each other and make time for date nights. That's when I get to spend time

with my MiMi and PoPi. I know they will always come back for me, so I don't worry.

They are always calm and relaxed when they pick me up. I like that.

Mommy calls this my "Man Voice".

I use it when I am being strong and brave

or if I'm trying to impress one of my "girl" friends.

They don't have a man voice.

It's The Simple Things

One of the best things about being a MiMi is the joy of watching "your" little one experience all the pleasures of childhood. Things that have been a part of your childhood and your child's childhood are now a part of your grandchild's life. I can't remember a time when I didn't think this little box of cookies was something really special. I love the smell, taste and memories they evoke. I have bought these cookies for almost every child I have ever known. I have even used a box as a bow on a gift. This afternoon we took Jonah a box. His smile let us know he remembers what that cute little box holds. I love to see his little, chubby hand hold on to the string as he holds it up for me to get him another one out. It's the simple things...

Time With The Twins

Tonight was the first time we got to see the twins together. I couldn't wait to put them close to one another and see how they would react. I loved to see their little bodies snuggled up close to
the other. It just seems so natural for them to be that way.
